similarities???
i dont know if they dont know that
Here are a few similarities between Romeo and Juliet (the movie) and Romeo and Juliet the play:
1. They both take place in "Verona". (in the movie, it's Verona beach California, and in the play it's Verona, Italy)
2. Names of the characters are all the same and pretty much the exact same plot lines (the movie follows the plot of the play very closely).
3. At the beginning, when the Capulets face off with the Montagues, the face-off happens at a gas-station in the movie (it happens in the Italian market in the play). However, both times the families say that they are wielding "swords". In the play, they are _really_ swords, but in the movie it's a metaphor for th 9mm guns.
