I am a teacher in Michigan. I am using this text as my reading book. I am trying to find the word "rivered" within the text. A literature guide I am using has listed this as a vocabulary word to be found within chapters 4 or 5. I have read and re-read these chapters and cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone help me out? My Oxford Dictionary has two meanings each that would fit this story but without the context clues it is hard to determine what definition I want my students to learn.
Thanks,
Pat
