Harlan Granger: The wealthiest landowner in the county, and the owner of the land surrounding the Logan farm. Originally, the Logan's land was part of the Granger plantation, and Harlan Granger attempts in various ways to regain ownership of it. He does business with the Wallace brothers and is plotting to get the Logan's land, but also prevents TJ from being killed by Mr. Simms and the Wallace brothers.
