Jeremy is friends with the Logans. Other white children weren't friendly. Jeremy was the exception.

Jermany is unique because he is not racist towards blacks, unlike other whites. Even after being punished over and over by his older sister for hanging out with the logan childen, he still goes out of his way to be with the logan children.
