Uncle Hammer knows the Simms are racist and would have slaves if they could. Uncle Hammer wants to know if Mr. Simms pushed Cassie. He says he has his own gun to deal with Mr. Simms. . Mr. Morrison jumps in with the car to calm him down. I would have liked to do the same as Uncle Hammer. I think it would have been disastrous if he had gone through with it. Confronting Simms would have put the whole family in danger as well Hammer himself.
