Reamde Irony

Reamde Irony

The irony of legalizing a laundering business

Richard is a successful man in people's eyes, but he is engaged in illegal laundering business. Satirically, Richard uses a gaming company as a coverup of his money laundering business involving smuggling marijuana.

The irony of Zula

Zula is a smart woman, but she realizes that she is in a relationship with a criminal called Peter. Peter is accused of stealing a financial database belonging to a Russian. When Zula is arrested and transported to China to trace the database hacker, Zula intentionally gives wrong information to save many people from dying in the process. Ironically, Zula puts her life in danger for the sake of many people when they land in an apartment full of Al-Qaeda terrorists.

The irony of cybersecurity

Online financial institutions assure customers of their safety all the time, encouraging them to observe certain guidelines and precautions. Ironically, online safety software is artificial, implying that people can hack financial systems and cause serious losses. For instance, Peter is helped by a Chinese hacker to steal a financial database belonging to a Russian. Consequently, cybersecurity is a myth because manufactured ransomware such as Reamde is on the rise every day.

The Irony of Al-Qaeda

Al-Qaeda is a global lethal terrorist group whose movements are strictly monitored by security agencies. The author finds it satirical that the lethal terrorist group is planning to attack an event in China without the knowledge of the security agencies. Al-Qaeda activities are discovered by Zula and her kidnappers while tracing the Chinese hacker.

The irony of the virtual place

The world is experiencing tremendous success in technology, enabling global business to be transacted in the virtual space. Ironically, the virtual space has become more problematic than the anticipated benefits! Cybercrime has endangered virtual space. It is satirical that the top computer programmers and information technology experts are responsible for developing ransomware used in hacking online information.
