What is Sadie’s behavior considered salacious by Mr and Mrs. Davidson, and Mrs. Macphail in particular?

The women disapproved of Sadie dancing with the ship's quartermaster. We can infer that the women looked down upon dancing itself..... or the type of dance. We are left to make that summation on our own.
