Rameck was drawn to his friends (I use that term loosely) because he wanted to belong. The guys he hung out with were happy to see him. He looked up to the gang for no reason other than he needed to look up to someone.... Rameck had no personal identity, and thus, took on the identity of those he believed to be cool. Rameck's eyes weren't opened until he got into trouble and his "friends" made him the scapegoat.
