In Shaw's Pygmalion, Eliza isn't an untouchable statue brought to life...... she is a living, breathing human being.

In additon, Eliza and Higgins never marry..... the ending is far different, as Eliza has no intention of living under the dictates of Higgins. Eliza in an independent woman.
