Mrs. Higgins home is respectable, the perfect home for Eiiza to hone her skills and be seen in the same way. The fact that she's living in a wholesome environment makes provides her with the perect backdrop for her new persona. Higgin's mother loves him, but she'd rather have him stay away. She finds him exasperating and a tad embarrassing. None-the-less, Mrs. Higgins is revealed to be a loving, understanding, and level headed woman. Her compassion for Eliza and disappointment in her son are obvious.
