Done to me! Ruined me. Destroyed my happiness. Tied me up and delivered me into the hands of middle class morality.

Mr. Doolittle came into money because Higgins had recommended him as deserving to an American millionaire. Doliittle hates his new life with money. His friends and family always want something now and he has no freedom to go to the tavern and drink with his buddies like he used to. Mr. Dollittle complains he must now live a middle class lifestyle, which he finds confining and boring.
