Can someone analyze Precious and Miss Rain from "Push" by Sapphire?

Consider: Character changes, response to conflict, motivations, etc. from start to finish

This is what I have so far:

“Push” by Sapphire is a novel about a young black woman named Precious Jones who has been sexually, emotionally, and physically abused. Precious Jones lives with her overweight mother in Harlem, New York. Her mother beats and molests her. Her father does not live with them. The only time he comes and visit is to have sex with precious. At the age of three, Precious’ father has sex with her for the first time. The mother sat next to them when the father has sex with Precious foe the first time and does nothing. At the age of twelve,
Precious gives birth to her first child. At the age of sixteen, Precious is suspended from school because she is pregnant with her second child and is sent to another school. There, she meets Ms. Rain, a pre-GED teacher, who is the only person who can help her with her problems.

P.S.
I have to finish this before school starts.
