There are many points in the book to Elizabeth's reactions to Mr. Darcy. I think initially she is displeased with him because he acts like the rich, like himself, are better than common folk. She refuses his marriage proposals by accusing him of being too proud. She also says she finds him a disagreeable person because he seperated Jane from Bingley so they would not be married. She also thinks it reprehensible that he has not given Wickham the inheritance that was rightfully his. For Darcy's part, he finds Elizabeth's spirit attractive and he simply keeps an interest in her.
