While both women have daughters to be concerned about, Mrs. Bennet has many more daughters and is much more worried about moving up in society for both her daughters and herself. Lady Catherine already comes from money so monitory/social pressures are not as great for L. Catherine's survival. The pool of eligible bachelors looking for a spouse is greater for the Bennet sisters because there are more social classes of men to pick from. Ann has a limited pool of men to "fish" from. The overriding difference between the two women stems from their difference in social class. This accounts for many of the differences in points of view and motivations.
