Sir William doesn't really fit in with "rank" society, but he is a kind man and good neighbor. The hightlight of his life is the knighthood he has been granted.... he is truly obsessed. Fortunately, his knghthood opens the door for his daughter Charlotte to marry Mr. Collins after Elizabeth refuses his proposal.
