Persuasion is Jane Austen's last completed novel. She began it soon after she had finished Emma, completing it in August 1816. She died, aged 41, in 1817; Persuasion was published in December that year (but dated 1818).

what is the relevence of the theme LOCATION in Persuasion?

we have had this question in last years exam: LCATION in persuasion & I didn't succeed in that subject I thought it was too broad now that I have to sit for this exam again I guess it would be easier if I could get answer to that question first. Thank you in advance!

Why doesn't Mr. Elliot pursue Elizabeth Elliot, with whom he has a better chance at succeeding?

Since Mr. Elliot is most interested in securing the title of Lord Elliot, couldn't he do this most easily by marrying Elizabeth Elliot.
