What was marjane like at the beginning of Persepolis

what was her view on the war. what was she like as a person. what was her personality.

Marjane is a relatively ambivalent character in the beginning of Persepolis. Although she is forced to wear a veil at school, she "doesn't really know how to feel" about it. This is probably because she has always been religious--but at the same time, her family is admittedly "modern" or "avant garde."
