One day, the teacher is lecturing the students on how the Islamic regime no longer has political prisoners. Marjane stands up and tells the teacher that her uncle had been executed by the regime and that the number of prisoners has increased from 3,000 to 300,000 under the regime. The students applaud her honesty, but the teacher is angry.
