Really any religeous zealot can reach high places even if they do not belong in the position. Marji's aunt is surprised to learn that the director of the hospital is her former window washer. He has been made director of the hospital because of his extreme religious zealotry. The director tells her that “if God wills it,” Taher will receive the passport.
