Marji is quick to accept state run news accounts of the war. She wants to think Iran is on a holy war and has the blessing of God. She wants to believe that the Iranian army is strong. Marji's father knows that much of what they hear on state run media is merely propaganda. He would rather listen to a more objective external account of the war from Western sources like the BBC.
