Percy Shelley: Poems

Why does the speaker wish to become a lyre in “Ode to the West Wind”?

because he despairs in finding words
so then he will no longer be capable of feeling emotion
so the wind blowing through his strings will make sweet, sad sounds
because he thinks of the lyre as the happiest of instruments
