I'm doing an essay on time in Pedro Paramo and I'm writing about the use of water to signify a time change, the use of flashbacks, and present time, but I don't know what else to write. Help!

You could talk about the symbolism between comala and it's similarity to the underworld. Such as Abundio being the man that brings people across the river styx on the boat because he would always bring people to comala or the fact that if you eat in the underworld then there is no chance of ever leaving and once juan ate at donis and donis's sister's house then he all of a sudden dies
