The Cultural Iceberg is a concept that's been adapted from Building Bridges: A Peace Corps Classroom Guide to Cross-Cultural Understanding. It entails creating a visual that allows students to use an iceberg as their basis of a culture's portrayal. Like an iceberg, some cultural features can be seen, whereas others remain below the surface and aren't visible. By using this concept we are better able to understand the diversity of cities like Clarkston....... or any other city. We can't understand what we're not aware of, and to make ourselves aware it's necessary to see below the waterline..... to see the whole iceberg.
