This is really asking for your opinion rather than mine. I'm, however, am inclined to disagree. What the statement calls "weakness" can also be called "trust" and "loyalty". We need to look at this era in context. Women were not encouraged to disagree with their husbands. Desdemona supported her husband when he was questioned about luring her through witchcraft. She tried to support him during his emotional breakdown. Desdemona was simply a nurturing character. She wanted people to be happy and people, like Cassio, trusted her.
