Iago is upset that he has been passed over for promotion. Othello has picked Cassio to be his lieutenant, though he has little field experience. Iago wants to punish Othello for not picking him. Roderigo is in love with Desdemona and is jealous that Othello has married her. He wants to disgrace Othello and Marry Desdemona. You will have to take a look at the play for your quotes.
