    Students will be able to consider an alternative outcome based on the original plot.

    Structure:

    Discuss Caesar's increasing skepticism of the whites, leading up to his impassioned speech. Ask students to inquire into Caesar's motivations for calling the slaves together. Finally, discuss the details of Caesar's plan to set up a colony after escaping.
