Was Randall actually mentally ill? And if so, what disorder do you think he was afflicted by?

McMurphy is initially committed so that he can be evaluated. He isn't given an exact diagnosis. I personally think he wasn't mentally ill, and as the novel suggests had himself committed in order to get himself out of trouble.
