Harding’s wife comes for a visit, what is happening to McMurphy? – Why is he so angry?

Harding's wife reminds Mc Murphy of Nurse Ratched, and he makes vulgar comments about her. He then gets angry when Harding asks him to be serious. Mc Murphy later admits to having a short temper because of bad dreams and little sleep.
