Why do you think Nancy wants to help Oliver?

In my opinion, Nancy knows that Oliver has the opportunity for a better life. She knows that he can escape the life she's led.... the life the other boys are leading.... that he can be safe, happy, and cared for. She helps Oliver because it's the right thing to do, even knowing her own life is in danger for doing so.
