The most obvious challenge faced by any party is that it must implement the program it says it will implement or it will lose credibility. Another challenge is that there is always someone who has a different point of view and thus is trying to discredit or even unseat a particular political party. A further challenge would be if a political party holds different views from the most important government leader; this would create constant conflict and would make many decisions contentious and conflicted. In all things parties must learn to compromise with those on the other side, a huge challenge in itself.

poor finance

poor internal democracy

ethnocentrism

difficulty in formulating programs

Who can boldly say, " i do not face any challenge "? or " challenges are meant for the poor ".

Political parties are organizations who strive hard with the main objective or aim to capture political power through elections in order to influence policies and machinery of government. They perform the following functions;recruitment of people and political leaders, formulating government policies and programs, interest aggregation and articulation, building national unity and cohesion, socialization and many others.

despite all these they face some challenges, which includes;poor political integration of party members,no form of discipline of party members, lack of coherent and internal cohesion, lack of internal democracy and many others.

In concluding, parties should sarcastically take the above mentioned problems into consideration. I can boldly say from my above introduction that no matter how one tries ,he or she will face challenges.

Lack of finance

Internal conflict within the party

Ethnocentrism

Succession dispute

Concentration of power in individuals
