Why does George tell Lennie to keep out of trouble and where does he tell him to go if he does?

George is scared that what happened in Weed with the previous woman might happen again at their next place. George asks Lennie that if they should get separated, they should meet by the small creek where the camped. This will be their "safe" spot where they can make a plan.
