why does george have an uneasy feeling at the capters end ?

By the end of chapter two George feels a coldness to this ranch. The boss's son, Curley, seems out to get Lennie. Curley's wife also poses a threat to George and Lennie. At the best of times Lennie gets himself in trouble with women. George feels a sense of foreboding.
