Why does Crooks tell Lennie to get out of his room?

This is the only space Crooks has as his own. He is black and not welcome anywhere else. When Lennie visits his little hovel in the stable, Crooks gets angry. His little space is the only shred of dignity he has left. He does not want anybody in it.
