What ruined Crooks ability to achieve the American dream? How did it change him

Crooks could not get ahead because he is black. The Amarican Dream follows that if one works really hard , they can get a piece of the dream. Crooks cannot because of his skin colour.

The reason crooks’ dream was ruined was because he was a black man living on a farm full of white people telling him his dream is not going to happen. Crooks having no rights just listened to them and he decided that he can’t achieve them and he went along with it.
