Steinbeck uses an omniscient narration to tell the story of George and Lennie. His words flow, his descriptions are flawless, and his style portrays the reality of the characters he depicts. We come to care about the characters...... to feel their emotions. Steinbeck's realistic use of the colloquial dialect adds another touch of unmatched realism.
