What does George tell Slim about feelings toward Lennie?

I think George makes it clear to Slim about how he feels about Lennie when he describes the incident at the river, "he'll do any damn thing I tell him to do." George enjoys having control over somebody whie respecting the fact that Lennie fuctions like a child. As the the book progresses, we see that George truly charishes Lennie's company as well.
