What does Candy want when he hears about George's and Lennie's plans? What is he willing to contribute?

Candy feels lonely and useless. He is old and knows his days at the ranch are numbered. When Candy hears about their plans to buy a small farm, he wants to join them. Finally Candy will have a sense of place and friendship. Candy is willing to give most of the money.
