Give some reasons as to why George and Lennie are always on the move?

Unfortunately they can't stay in one place because Lennie invariably gets in trouble and the two men have to flee. We are given a back story of Lennie scaring a young woman in Weed. Lennie likes soft things and begins holding them. Other men on the ranch think Lennie's intentions are less than innocent.
