Of Mice and Men

George and Lenny often change jobs, and so do many other men in the story. Why was this?

preferable words: (drought, poor, farms, dust bowl, move around, temporary)

George and Lennie are itinerant ranch workers. They travel from place to place, job to job, in order to make a living. Ranch work was often temporary and seasonal, so in order to get by, the workers moved from place to place.
