George and Lennie are companions, partners, family. George looks out for Lennie, and Lennie loves him in return.

Candy and his dog are also companions. The dog keeps him from beig lonely, and the dog loves and respects his master.

Curley and his wife really don't have much of a relationship. Curley sees his wife as a possession. She saw Curley as a way out.... a way of bettering herself, but she also resents that she married him, and in turn, gave up her dream of Hollywood.
