Who are Pallas and Apollo? Why are these dieties mentioned in the prologos?

Pallas is actually Athena, daughter of Zeus. Apollo is the voice of Zeus. Teiresias acts as the voice of Apollo. In the prologue, Creon is sent to Apollo's temple to ask what might be done to save the city. The chorus prays to the gods for the same reason.
