In Chapter One, we are introduced to an extremely, intelligent young man, who has received an excellent education paid for by the Progressive Union. Upon his return, Obi finds himself in a difficult situation, as he did not accomplish what they'd essentially paid for him to learn (the law) and was arrested, tried, and convicted of bribery. The consensus amongst community members was that Obi, once a promising young man, was nothing more than a fool.
