Why did not Eliezer fast during Yom Kippur? What would you have done in his place??

By refusing to fast on Yom Kippur, Eliezer believed himself to be revolting against God. I could not say what I would do in his place, as I have never been in his situation. Who today could possibly say what they would personally do or judge the actions of others?
