The title Night is significant because it symbolizes not only the fear of the prisoners, but the safety night affords them as well. The Jews were taken in the night, something that caused fear because they never really saw it coming. On the flip side, while in the campes, the night afforded the prisoners their only moments of privacy..... time to let down their guard, pray, cry...... without the prying eyes of the soldiers watching their every move.

Never shall I forget that night, that first night in camp, which has turned my life into one long night, seven times cursed and seven times sealed...Never shall I forget those moments which murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to dust.  Never shall I forget these things, even if I am condemned to live as long as God Himself. Never.
