Eliezer has a devout faith in God, but when he sees what is happening in the concentration camp he begins to doubt God’s love and justice. Others in the camp clung to their faith in God, while some completely rejected it.Elie struggled with his faith, and even gave up on God completely. Many of the other inmates also questioned their faith, but just as many held on. The Jewish prisoners kept the Sabbath and celebrated holidays from the confines of their prison.
