A strictly Capitalist system is highly dependent on supply and demand economy. The supply is only there for people that can generate money/profit for the landlord or developer. Low government involvement means that people who cannot afford housing are unable to access proper tax payer support for proper housing. The result is a large percentage of the working poor paying most of their wages for sub-standard housing.
