How does Jude have an impact on Ruby's life?
Jude stayed with her and she refers to him a lot in the next book.so how can a character like jude have an impact on another

Unlike Ruby, who is very efficient in her work, Jude tends to be clumsy. Over the course of the novel, Jude's engaging personality proves to be quite lovable, and Ruby, who tends to take control..... takes Jude under her wing. He doesn't so much need her protection, as he appears to need protection.
