Much Ado About Nothing

What is your opinion about Claudio's and Hero's relationship? Do you believe that the result at the end was the best for this story, or would you make any changes to this part of the story? Explain.

Hero is also humiliated by Claudio. In a fair world Hero should have told Claudio where to go. He showed no trust in her or fidelity. This, however, is an Elizabethan world and a Shakespearian comedy. Women have little to know power and things must end happily. It is a patriarchal world where punishments and rewards are doled out from a decidedly male viewpoint. So, as far as endings go, this ends in typical Shakespearian comedy form. In the context of the genre, I wouldn't change anything (who am I to alter a Shakespearean play!).
