Why do you think Steve chose to include the judge repeating "Then you must return the verdict of guilty of felony murder" three times?

The Judge is making a point of Petrocelli's presentation. In essence, he is saying that Steve's part in the robbery enabled the murder..... thus, he carries equal guilt for the crime.
