Dr, Golan wouldn't let him quit.... he persisted in the hopes that in understanding his dreams, Jacob would be able to out them away.

Still, Dr. Golan wouldn’t let me quit.

Dr. Golan was convinced that understanding them might help purge my awful dreams.
